The Times covered our joint open letter from from more than 20 leading figures in architecture and beyond, to Angela Raynor, asking her to halt the demolition of M&S Oxford Street buildings. Our campaign was also featured in the Financial Times.
SAVE’s campaign to stop the demolition of Bradley Lane Mills featured heavily in local press with stories in the Mid Devon Advertiser, PRSD and the Dawlish Gazette detailing our call for an investigation into the council’s ‘hasty and ill informed decision’ to permit demolition. The case was also featured in Private Eye Magazine.
SAVE’s petition to the Scottish Parliament was featured in The Herald, in a story lamenting Glasgow’s frequent historic building fires, and also in the Glasgow Times in an article by Paul Sweeney MSP, highlighting the petition as an opportunity to address needless demolition of buildings like the 02 ABC cinema.
SAVE’s Conservation Officer Lydia Franklin appeared on Go Radio to stress the importance of retaining the former cinemas landmark portico entrance. The Herald published SAVE’s open letter to the developers of the site, signed by an alliance of national heritage organisations.
