  SAVE's proposals for the Peninsular Barracks, Winchester, drawn up by Huw Thomas, which has saved the Victorian Barracks from demolition. The site has now been bought for a housing and public spaces scheme which should become a template for other sites. A follow-up to Deserted Bastions. Published March 1994.

• Billingsgate Report

  With the new fish market in the Isle of Dogs, the City Corporation proposed to demolish Billingsgate. SAVE was instrumental in getting the old market listed, and commissioned a scheme to show how it could be adapted to an alternative use. Published July 1980.

• Blink and You'll Miss It - Northern Ireland's Heritage in Danger (2001)

  SAVE's hard hitting investigation into the state of conservation in Northern Ireland is now available. The main problems facing the built environment are highlighted, including the scandalous rate of delisting, a lack of resources and an abject lack of enforcement action. Other areas covered importantly include the destruction of vernacular buildings. 30 recommendations are made with the aim of encouraging thorough reform of the Province's conservation system. Published June 2001.

• Brynmawr: the future of an industrial masterpiece
