SAVE in the news - April 2024
This month The Telegraph reported on SAVE’s call for the Secretary of State to reject M&S’s demolition and rebuild plans for its Oxford Street building for a second time. The Times featured a celebrity save story - Pottery Throw down host and his wife Marj Hogarth are to rennovate Salem Welsh Chapel to create pottery studio, community space and home for a Welsh chapel, which has been languishing on SAVE’s Buildings at Risk Register. The Manchester Evening News covered plans for repairs at a historic hall in Stockport, but noted that there are no plans for its future use. In Scotland, The Ayr Advertiser features SAVE's call for major reform of the legislation to protect Scotland's listed buildings.
