SAVE featured in press items across the country in July. Now Then published a brilliant investigative piece covering the ‘accidental’ demolition of the Market Tavern in Sheffield. Also mentioned in the Yorkshire Post, the investigation raised many questions about the loss of the historic pub.
There has been a run of articles covering SAVE’s campaign to prevent the demolition of Bradley Lane Mills in Newton Abbot. The Mid-Devon Advertiser featured SAVE’s open letter calling on Teignbridge District Council to rethink their demolition plans for the historic site. Dawlish Today shared news that developer Moffat Baxter was interested in developing Bradley Lane Mills in line with the reuse proposal set out by SAVE.
In Wales, the addition of the historic Penallta Colliery to SAVE’s at risk register was covered by Wales Online and The Mirror.
The BBC and the Telegraph featured the news that Barlaston Hall, bought by SAVE for £1 in 1981, is on the market with an estimated value of £3.5m.
SAVE's objection to a 19-story tower in Bloomsbury was noted by Building Design in a story sharing the news that a judicial review of the decision to approve the tower is moving ever closer.
