STOP PRESS! Urgent call for consultation responses
SAVE are asking supporters to take ten minutes to help block the bulldozers threatening Liverpool's historic 'Welsh Streets', and support residents' alternative refurbishment proposals. You can do this online.
[There's an historic overview in the latest Architect's Journal online http://m.architectsjournal.co.uk/8635651.article
SAVE have just scored a significant victory against demolition in the High Court this morning - more good news to follow!]
We are trying to ensure that lots of people look at our alternative design tasters and give us feedback.
Liverpool council are currently consulting on social landlord Plus Dane's plans to demolish and put new new houses on the Welsh Streets. If we can show there is public interest in refurbished and re-modeled homes they will consider incorporating more in the overall plan for the area.
The three on-line surveys are very quick to do, and help build the case for alternatives we have now had drawn up, costed and pretty well funded.
