SAVE in the news - February - March 2024
In February there was no shortage of coverage on SAVE’s campaign to stop the demolition and rebuild of M&S Oxford Street, with the Telegraph, BBC, Independent, Evening Standard and Time Out all featuring the story. The Norwich Evening News published an article on the need for a radical rethink of Anglia Square, championed by SAVE. A SAVE report on Manchester skyscrapers got a mention in an article by The Guardian, which asks the question, ‘Is up the only way for Manchester’? And tune into BBC West Midlands welcomed our Senior Conservation Officer Ben Dewfield-Oakley to celebrate the news that The Crooked House pub in Himley is to be rebuilt after an unlawful demolition. SAVE's campaign to save the north section of Ayr Station Hotel was featured by local press, the Daily Record.
