Please join us for a symposium on the implications for the built environment of the decision by the Secretary of State to reject proposals for the substantial demolition of Smithfield General Market and Annex, and replacement with two office blocks behind the facades.
The symposium will discuss the implications of the Smithfield decision on the built environment, in particular for non-listed buildings in conservation areas. There will be short talks by a number of the people who gave evidence to the Public Inquiry and an opportunity to discuss the implications of the decision with them and others involved in the campaign.
