Join SAVE Britain's Heritage and Trustee Timothy Cantell on a walking tour of Bath.
Timothy Cantell will consider conservation in central Bath over the 50 years since the designation of the city's conservation areas in 1967. The half century began dreadfully with the ‘Sack of Bath’ (1973) and the near miss of the Buchanan tunnel, but what has been going on since? The walk will look at scars and survivals, and discuss what new buildings have contributed to the city - as well as giving glimpses of what earned Bath its World Heritage status.
Date: Saturday 30th September 2017
Start: Brunel Square, immediately beyond the main exit from Bath Spa railway station, 11am
End: Queen Square, 1pm
Tickets: £7 Friends and Saviours, £10 members of the public (plus Eventbrite booking fee)
