Join SAVE Britain's Heritage and The Canterbury Society for the official launch of the latest report by SAVE Britain's Heritage: "Canterbury Take Care!" on 11th September 2021 in Canterbury. The launch will be accompanied by a free walking tour.

About the book

Historically Canterbury is one of the most important cities in England with the premier cathedral in England. Edited by Amicia de Moubray, this collection of essays by several leading authors including Ptolemy Dean, Clive Bowley and Paul Bennett with an introduction by Griff Rhys Jones explores the architectural history of Canterbury from the Anglo-Saxons to post-war redevelopment. With the future of our cities uncertain following the Covid-19 pandemic, this SAVE Britain's Heritage report on Canterbury could not be more timely.

After the event, all attendees are very welcome to go to Evensong in the cathedral at 5.30pm

We will be offering walking tours taken by some of the contributors to the book. You will be able to choose the walking tour option when you book your ticket. All walking tour tickets will grant you access to the launch event from 4pm. Tours are as follows:
